Dr Karamat Iqbal is an education and diversity practitioner. Born in Kashmir, he has been in Birmingham since 1970. He is a member of the Wider Leadership at Riverside Church, where he has worshipped since becoming a Christian in 1995. He has authored Dear Birmingham and British Pakistani boys, education and the role of religion – in the land of the Trojan Horse. Karamat volunteers as a chaplain at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
